Cracow Program available

The registration for the 2011 ICCJ Cracow conference on "Religions and Ideologies" is closed.

More than 150 conference participants will gather in Cracow, Poland, on Sunday July 3. Following the opening session and the State Reception on Sunday evening, they all will no doubt enjoy three fully packed conference days. Plenary sessions, workshops, outings and visits all together will make Cracow 2011 to an unforgettable event.

This conference will be special in particular because of the one day visit to Auschwitz/Oswiecim. The conference will be hosted by the Oswiecim Center for Dialogue and Prayer and the program that Tuesday will deal with education. First time visitors will have a tour at the Auschwitz Museum. For others tours to special places around Oswiecim are planned. All participants will conclude the day at Birkenau, taking part in a commemorative walk along the ramp ending at the monument remembering the more than 1 million Auschwitz victims of Nazism, most of them Jews.

On Wednesday morning, July 6, five concurrent workshops, all in English, are scheduled. During the afternoon of this last full conference day two concluding panels will be held. The conference will conclude on Wednesday evening July 6 with a festive dinner at the Qubus Hotel, this year’s conference hotel.

On Thursday, July 7, the ICCJ Annual General Meeting will be held at the Qubus. Most important item on the agenda: the election of a new ICCJ Executive Board. Information about the elections and the nominees can be found on this website.

Just forgotten to register for this most interesting event? Sorry, but registration is closed now. See you next year in Manchester. Be on time!
