L’assassinat sauvage d’enfants parce qu’ils sont Juifs nous rappelle les heures noires de l’occupation, comme l’écho d’une mémoire qui demeure au plus profond de nos êtres.
Que nos traditions religieuses nous donnent la force de reprendre le chemin de la vie ensemble. Puisse l’amour du prochain constituer désormais un rempart contre la violence extrême de ceux qui sont habités par la haine.

The International Council of Christians and Jews shares the indignation and the deep sadness of the French Council of Christians and Jews, the Amitié Judéo-Chrétienne de France.
Above all we wish to respect the pain and grief of the families of all victims in Toulouse and Montauban.
The brutal murder of children because they are Jewish, reminds us of the dark days of occupation, like the echo of a memory that remains in the depths of our souls.
May our religious traditions give us the strength to continue on the road of shared humanity. May the commandment to love our neighbor constitute a bulwark against the extreme violence of those possessed by hate.

Vor allem möchten wir dem Schmerz und Kummer der Familienangehörigen aller Opfer in Toulouse und Montauban unseren Respekt bekunden.
Der brutale Mord an Kindern, nur weil sie Juden sind, erinnert an die dunklen Tage der Besatzung, wie das Echo einer Erinnerung, die tief in unseren Seelen verwurzelt ist.
